Dear Friends, we got good news from the Whole World foundation: The operation was performed by Prof. Alexandr Mushkin, Dr.Sc. at the Children's Bones and Joints Tuberculosis Surgery Department of St. Petersburg Research Institute of Phthisiopulmonology. During the operation, the spine instability caused by the removal of the tumour-affected parts of vertebrae, was eliminated. This surgical intervention allowed to exclude the risk of damage to the spinal cord and its roots that may occur in case of the spinal deformity aggravation, and allowed Darya to get back to her feet again, although before the operation she was prescribed strict bed confinement. The ICCF Whole World's team expresses huge gratitude to the participants of the international charity movement, "Whole World". Thanks to your donations, Darya's operation has been accomplished! We wish Darya early recovery and all the best! P.S. |
