A new child on the charitable foundation's website! Naima was born with multiple developmental defects. Naima's parents knew about the girl's disease even before her birth. Naima was born with spinal hernia, internal hydrocephalus, joints myelodysplasia and central nervous system affliction. On the second day of her life, Naima underwent an emergency operation: combined plastic defects repair of the lumbar part of the spine, ventricular drainage installation. The second operation will be carried out in two weeks. Naima spent the first 28 days of her life in the intensive care unit, after that she was transferred to the Neurosurgery Department. Currently, the girl does not feel her legs, she cannot stand or walk. The parents regularly send the child to rehabilitation treatment, but unfortunately, there are no results. Prof. Alexander Yuriyevich Mushkin from the Phthisiopulmonology Research Institute in St. Petersburg is ready to perform an operation to fix Naima's spine in the correct position, that can give a stimulus to functional activation of the child. To make the operation possible it is necessary to pay for an expensive metal structure used for the spine fixation priced at 684 500 rubles, but the girl's family does not have such funds. We have started a fundraising campaign in order to pay for this metal structure and help little Naima >> |
